Patio Heater Rental Quote
Fall and winter in Northeast Indiana can turn a beautiful outdoor event chilly in a hurry. Once the sun goes down in October or November, guests start reaching for their coats, and by December the tent or patio is empty unless you plan ahead. A few patio heaters change that. Summit City Rental rents patio heaters across Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio (see our full list of cities served), so you can keep using your outdoor space well past summer.
In short: Patio heaters rent for $50 per day. The heater comes without propane, and you can add a propane tank when you book. We deliver, set up and pick up, and heaters pair easily with our tent, table, chair and restroom trailer rentals for outdoor events all fall and winter.
When a Patio Heater Rental Makes Sense

Patio heaters are made for the events Northeast Indiana weather tries to cut short: late-season weddings and receptions under an open-sided tent, rehearsal dinners on a patio, fall festivals and church events, holiday markets, company gatherings outdoors, tailgates, and spring graduation parties when April and May evenings still run cold.
They also add atmosphere. A row of tall heaters glowing around a dance floor or dinner tables makes a space feel warm and inviting before anyone even steps close to one.
If your event runs into the colder months, the rest of your setup can too. Our restroom trailers stay operational through the winter, for events and job sites alike, so guests have a real restroom instead of a cold walk to the house.
How Many Patio Heaters Do You Need?
As a rough guide, a standard tall patio heater comfortably warms a circle about 15 to 20 feet across. For a tent or patio, plan on roughly one heater for every 10 to 15 guests, and add a few more if the space is open to the wind or temperatures will drop below the 40s. For example, a 40×40 tent seating about 100 guests usually needs around 6 to 8 heaters spread evenly around the edges.
Every space is a little different, so tell us the size of your tent or patio, your guest count and the date, and we’ll help you figure out the right number. You can request a quote below or call 260-267-6730.
Propane: Add a Tank When You Book

Our patio heater is listed without propane, so you can supply your own full 20-pound tank if you already have one. If you don’t, simply add a propane tank to your order when you book the heater.
A full 20-pound tank typically runs a standard patio heater roughly 8 to 10 hours on high, and longer on lower settings. For an all-day event, or a long night when it’s really cold, plan on a spare tank per heater so nobody’s left in the cold halfway through the reception.
Using Patio Heaters Safely at Your Event
Patio heaters are simple to run, and we’ll show you how when we set them up. A few rules keep everyone safe:
- Use them outdoors or in open-sided, well-ventilated tents only. Never run a propane heater indoors or inside a fully enclosed tent.
- Keep plenty of clearance from tent walls and ceilings, decorations, tablecloths and anything else that could catch heat.
- Set heaters on firm, level ground, out of main walkways and away from where kids are playing.
- Turn a heater off and let it cool before moving it or changing the tank.
- Check with your venue, since some have their own rules about propane heaters.
Put Together the Rest of Your Outdoor Event
Patio heaters are one piece of a comfortable outdoor event. We can bring the rest in the same delivery: tents, tables, chairs and restroom trailers, plus standard and handicap porta potties for bigger crowds. Planning a wedding or a company event?
